# Provide Backflow Devices to Garden Taps

## Issue Description:
- Balcony taps without backflow prevention devices can allow contaminated water, containing pesticides or fertilizers from planters, to flow back into the main water supply.
- This backflow can occur due to pressure changes, posing a significant health risk and violating water safety regulations.
- Contaminants will enter the building's water system requiring expensive rectification works.

## Actions to Prevent this Issue:
- [ ] Project Manager shall check that Backflow devices are provided to all Garden Taps.
- [ ] Hydraulic Engineer shall note this requirement on the Hydraulic Drawings.
- [ ] Hydraulic Engineer shall note this requirement in the Hydraulic Specification.
