# Timber Flooring Squeaks

## Issue Description:
- Floating Timber floors are prone to squeaking.
- This can be caused by
- changes in temperature
- changes in humidity
- Insuficcient gaps for expansion around door jambs, walls or joinery.
- Insufficient levelling of the floor
- Customers will often notice it can be worse after a long period of rain, or when the seasons change.
- A floating timber floor is designed to act as element that can expand and contract.
- If the floor is not is installed perfectly - you can get some squeaks.
- From Past experience, these squeaks are a major headache to repair.

## Actions to Prevent this Issue:
- [ ] Project Manager shall ensure that the Builder Installs Dual Bond Flooring System.
- [ ] Architect Shall allow for 30mm of floor levelling compound when setting out the floor to floor levels of the building.
