# Unsightly Ramping between different floor finishes ### Issue Image: ![[Pasted image 20250114162347.png]] ## Issue Description: - Due different height between different floor finishes ala carpet, timber flooring and tiling, if care is not taken, steps or ramps will be required at the transitions between these areas. - These ramps are unsightly and are representative of a poor finish. - This also to applies to lobby areas! ## Actions to Prevent this Issue: - [ ] Architect shall allow for different thicknesses of floor covering to allow for flush transitions at the junctions of different finishes. The whole of the room shall be levelled appropriately not just the entrance. - [ ] Project Manager shall check that the builder is installing the appropriate floor leveling to achieve flush transitions throughout the project. ## Source - MIL356
